Questions patients ask us first
Do I need a visa to come for treatment?
Most patients travel on a tourist (L) visa or a medical visa where available. Once your consultation is confirmed we provide an invitation letter from the hospital and a document checklist for your application. Visa rules depend on your nationality — check with the Chinese embassy in your country.
Will language be a problem?
No. Your coordinator speaks English, and a medical interpreter accompanies you to every appointment. Reports, prescriptions and the discharge summary are translated into English.
How long should I plan to stay?
Health screening usually takes three to five days. Most surgical or specialist cases need two to four weeks including recovery and a follow-up check. We confirm a realistic timeline in your written plan before you book flights.
How much will treatment cost?
After we review your records, the hospital gives you an itemised estimate before you commit. Treatment is paid directly to the hospital; Mediru charges a coordination fee that is agreed upfront and shown in your quote.
Who sees my medical information?
Your records are shared only with the hospitals and specialists you approve. We translate them for your consultation and do not publish or sell any patient data.
